The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was spacious by Chinese hotel standards, with floor-to-ceiling windows that gave me this great view of the district’s skyline. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained — the kind of attention to detail you’d expect from IHG’s luxury properties. The bed was genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works properly. Small thing, but the blackout curtains were excellent — crucial when you’re dealing with jet lag. The furnishings and layout demonstrate thoughtful design for both business and leisure travelers.

Breakfast here is where they really shine. The buffet setup covers Continental, Asian, and American options, which sounds standard until you actually see the execution. The congee station was particularly good, and they had this selection of local Wuhan specialties alongside the international fare. The restaurant staff seemed to genuinely care about the food quality — you could tell by how they maintained the stations and interacted with guests. I actually found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning, which doesn’t always happen at hotels. The culinary team brings expertise and passion to every meal service.
